Our Staff

Christopher O’Brien serves as Executive Director of Samaritan Counseling Center Hawaiʻi, bringing a multidisciplinary background in nonprofit leadership, finance, compliance, fundraising, and organizational development. His experience spans strategic and operational support for mission-driven organizations in Hawaiʻi, with particular strength in financial management and organizational effectiveness. Christopher holds a Juris Doctor, a Master of Accounting, and will receive his Executive MBA this Spring. He brings a thoughtful, cross-functional perspective to leading the Center’s work.

Diana sees individuals, couples, and families and has experience, with parenting, military families, domestic violence, substance abuse, and grief. She wants people to feel happiness and harmony in relationships.

Gary specializes in pastoral counseling, working with families, individuals and couples, and those with medical conditions, and is an Ordained Minister.

Stephen works with individuals for crisis intervention, suicide prevention, LGBTQ+, and serious mental illness, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and techniques to help people develop their inner resources.

Jesse has experience with multicultural and blended families, children with autism, college and career planning, and works with adolescents through EMDR, art and music therapy.

Marcia provides a holistic approach to counseling and drug/alcohol assessments, providing short-term solution-focused counseling for military personnel, individuals and couples.

Wesley is trained in grief counseling and spiritual direction. He enjoys working with individuals, families, and parents of strong-willed children, and is trained as a hospital and hospice chaplain.

We welcome Mary Wu back to the Center as our Administrative Assistant. She was previously administrative staff for the Center from 2000 to 2007.
